Hello and welcome to the About Me that is about me, Ashley Story. I draw things. I paint things. I stab those things into people ‘cause people are cool like that. I’ve been tattooing professionally since 2010 with the largest (and bestest) bulk of that time being spent with my tattoo family at White Lotus Body Arts in Ventura, Ca.

I currently work at Dose of Arté in Fillmore, CA… just down the street from my home, which allows me to spend more time home with my husband and son. I have a cozy private room in a mixed use studio with other hard working and talented ladies. Our studio is walking distance from bakeries, antique stores and the rest of downtown/historical Fillmore, California. 

I enjoy creating custom tattoo designs for my clients and am open to most concepts and styles but will be honest if I think something is not my forte. In general I am partial to any and all floral or botanical work. I have hundreds of reference photos collected from the beautiful roses grown in town that I see on my walks. Unfortunately, I do not possess a green thumb and can only make beautiful flowers in 2D .

I enjoy fantasy and surreal concepts, geometric/pattern based designs, animal (and the occasional peoples) portraits, and any idea that takes a lot of effort to portray a really low effort joke that makes eyes roll. I love color and black and gray equally and thrive on variety in my work. I am always open to cover-ups or reworks as long as expectations are reasonable and clients are flexible with design. 

Along with tattooing I dabble with any other art medium I can get my hands on, sometimes all at once. I have recently become more comfortable with integrating some traditional and digital commissions into my work schedule. I will not be able to accept every request for non-tattoo commissions but if you have an idea, submit an Art Commission Request form and I’ll respond as soon as I can to discuss options and availability.

While my love of my various mediums and compositions and colors and lines and allegories runs deep, I also truly love spending time with my tattoo clients. I have been deeply fortunate to meet some truly wonderful people over these years and know them well and see them grow and it’s a life I’m grateful to live. I appreciate every day that I’m able to support myself in life by making beautiful art for beautiful people. Let’s embellish some stuff together.
